Brockport Village Election Official Votes - The County Board of Canvassers having canvassed the whole number of votes cast at the Village of Brockport Election held June 18th has certified the following votes were received:

Brockport Village Mayor - 4 Year Term

Mayor C. Castañeda: 355 votes; Margay Blackman: 616 votes; Scattering: 3 votes; Blank and Void: 4 votes ; Whole number of votes: 978 votes

Margay Blackman, by the greater number of votes, is hereby elected to the office of Brockport Village Mayor - 4 Year Term in and for the Village of Brockport.

Brockport Village Trustee - 4 Year Term

Danny E. Blackburn: 120 votes; Richard Ross: 342 votes; Carol L. Hannan: 592 votes; Valerie A. Ciciotti: 601 votes; Kristina Telles (Write-In): 244 votes; Scattering: 9 votes; Blank and Void: 57 votes ; Whole number of votes: 1,956 votes

Valerie A. Ciciotti and Carol L. Hannan, by the greater number of votes, are hereby elected to the office of Brockport Village Trustee - 4 Year Term in and for the Village of Brockport.

Notice of Records of Decision
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) has issued Records of Decision (RODs) for the JMT Properties (Former General Electric/Black & Decker) Site #828003 (Brockport), under New York's State Superfund Program. The RODs describe the remedies selected to address contamination related to the site. Copies of the RODs are available for review at the following location: Seymour Library, 161 East Avenue, Brockport, NY 14420; Phone: 585-637-1050

Brockport Named Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation
The Arbor Day Foundation announced that Brockport, NY was named a Tree City USA community for its commitment to urban forestry. It is the 4th year Brockport has earned this national honor from the Arbor Day Foundation, the nation's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to planting trees.

Brockport: Erie Canalway Heritage Award of Excellence Winner
The Village of Brockport is the recipient of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Commission's Award of Excellence. Honorable mentions went to Spencerport's Depot and Canal Museum and Lockport's Visitor's Center.. - View information
