Emily L. Knapp Museum now open - The Emily L. Knapp Museum at 49 State Street in Brockport has been revitalized by a team of volunteers recently completing their work over 18 months. The collection has been sorted and arranged, documents filed away, and attractive displays reveal the rich history of Brockport. Open now through November. Wednesdays 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and Thursdays 6-8 PM. Also available by appointment. Call the Village Hall at 637-5300.

Notice of Records of Decision
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) has issued Records of Decision (RODs) for the JMT Properties (Former General Electric/Black & Decker) Site #828003 (Brockport), under New York's State Superfund Program. The RODs describe the remedies selected to address contamination related to the site. Copies of the RODs are available for review at the following location: Seymour Library, 161 East Avenue, Brockport, NY 14420; Phone: 585-637-1050. The RODs also are available on the NYSDEC website. |Brockport Named Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation
The Arbor Day Foundation announced that Brockport, NY was named a Tree City USA community for its commitment to urban forestry. It is the 4th year Brockport has earned this national honor from the Arbor Day Foundation, the nation's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to planting trees.

Brockport: Erie Canalway Heritage Award of Excellence Winner
The Village of Brockport is the recipient of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Commission's Award of Excellence. Honorable mentions went to Spencerport's Depot and Canal Museum and Lockport's Visitor's Center.. - View information
