Village of Brockport Receives Public Works Award

The New York State Conference of Mayors (NYCOM) recognized the Village of Brockport, Mayor Mort Wexler and the Village Board of Trustees for their "Harvester Park Welcome Center" by designating them the winners of the 2006 NYCOM Pride in Public Works Award. View more...

APWA - Welcome Center - APWA's Local "Project of the Year"

The Awards Committee for the local branch of the American Public Works Association (APWA) met recently regarding nominations for this year’s Awards Program.

The Village of Brockport was recently informed that the Harvester Park/Welcome Center project is the 2005 recipient of the Project of the Year Award for Structural Projects.

The Project of the Year Award was established to promote excellence in the management and administration of public works projects by recognizing the alliance between the managing agency, the engineer, and contractors who together have led to a successful completion of a public works project.

Congratulations are in order for the Village Department of Public Works for their part in this award-winning project.
