Canal Corp Update

Trail users can expect intermittent trail closures between the Sans Soucci Park access point and the Sweden Walker Road access point in Brockport throughout this weekend and next week. Spotters will be on site to provide detour routes and maps. For more information, please visit http://www.canals.ny.gov/vegetation.

Playground Safety Upgrades

The Parks Committee of the Village of Brockport has crafted a letter, in the mail next week, to residents living near the playgrounds slated for some safety upgrades, including Corbett, Evergreen, Havenwood, and Barry playgrounds.  To read the letter, please follow the link here.

Historic Housewalk

Historic Housewalk June 11th

The Village’s Historic Preservation Board, in conjunction the Western Monroe Historical Society, the Emily L. Knapp Museum, Walk-Bike Brockport, and The College at Brockport, are organizing a Historic Housewalk for Sunday, June 11th. Participants will experience small-group tours within 6 historically-designated homes across the Village. Tickets for the home tours will cost $15 per person and will include a post-tour beer and wine tasting event in the Morgan Manning carriage house provided by Stoneyard Brewing and Mahan’s Discount Liquor & Wine. Funds raised from ticket sales will be used for continued preservation efforts by the Western Monroe Historical Society. In addition, the Emily Knapp Museum of Local History and the Morgan Manning House will be open to the public for free educational tours.
